Dua hari jelang peringatan Hari Guru Nasional, tepatnya pada Minggu pekan lalu (23/11/2014) ribuan guru berkumpul di kawasan Monumen Nasional (Monas) untuk bersama-sama melakukan aksi jalan santai yang rutin dilakukan setahun sekali dalam rangka peringatan Hari Guru Nasional pada 25 November mendatang. Ribuan guru tersebut berasal dari sekolah-sekolah di DKI Jakarta dan Kepulauan Seribu.

Acara tersebut dibuka dengan sambutan oleh Syawal Gultom selaku Kepala Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dan Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (BPSDMPK-PMP) yang mewakili sambutan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Anies Baswedan. Dirinya berharap, acara tersebut perlahan mampu menumbuhkan solidaritas di antara guru serta sebagai wadah peningkatan mutu pelayanan guru.

Selain beliau, turut hadir Ketua Umum PGRI DKI Jakarta, bapak Sulistyo. Dirinya turut menitipkan pesan dalam sambutannya, agar para guru mampu meningkatkan pelayanan profesi guru untuk ke depannya mampu mewujudkan revolusi mental pendidikan di Indonesia. Dengan demikian acara ini sesungguhnya menjadi ajang yang sangat baik dalam membangun kualitas internal pelaku pendidikan secara nasional. [DS]
