Dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan, wawasan, dan pengetahuan karyawan divisi fotografi Erlangga Group tentang dunia fotografi, Penerbit Erlangga bekerja sama dengan Persatuan Pewarta Warga Indonesia (PPWI) mengadakan Seminar dan Workshop Fotografi dengan tema Kekuatan Informasi melalui Foto dan Seluk Beluk Liputan Foto.

 

Acara yang diadakan pada hari Kamis, 29 Oktober 2015, bertempat di Class Room 2, Gedung Gelora Aksara Pratama, Jakarta Timur ini diisi oleh beberapa pembicara yang ahli di bidangnya antara lain Wilson Lalengke (Ketua PPWI), Mung Pujanarko (dosen sekaligus wartawan foto), Ari Muzzaki (wartawan foto), Arifin M (wartawan foto), dan Yeni Herliani (wartawan).

Sebagai kata pengantar seminar dan workshop, Wilson Lalengke memaparkan tentang PPWI, visi dan misi serta peran PPWI dalam kekuatan informasi. Sedangkan Mung Pujanarko memberikan materi mengenai penulisan tagline, judul, pembuatan blog, watermark foto, dan pemberian keterangan pada sebuah foto. Terakhir, tim wartawan foto Ari Muzzaki, Arifin M, dan Yeni Herliani berbagi pengalaman tentang liputan foto dari berbagai kondisi seperti medan berbahaya, liputan foto artis/tokoh masyarakat, dan liputan foto pemerintahan.

  

Dalam seminar dan workshop ini para peserta terlihat antusias. Banyak pertanyaan yang terlontar dari masing-masing peserta. Semua peserta juga langsung mempraktikkan apa yang dijelaskan oleh pemateri yakni para peserta melakukan hunting foto di sekitar gedung Gelora Aksara Pratama lalu menerbitkan hasil karyanya.

Sementara itu, Wilson Lalengke menyampaikan kesannya terhadap pelatihan tersebut. Menurutnya merupakan sebuah kehormatan dan kesempatan bagi PPWI dapat bekerja sama dengan Penerbit Erlangga berbagi, berinteraksi dengan karyawan terutama fotografernya. “Saya melihat rekan-rekan Erlangga sangat luar biasa, antusias, mau menambah ilmu pengetahuannya tentang dunia jurnalistik terutama foto,” paparnya.
